Handwoven table runner
This is a tablerunner handwoven in rayon and silk. It's my own design, based on a modified bird's eye twill pattern.
The green is a luminous yarn made from rayon processed from sugar case waste. It's soft and silky, similar to bamboo rayon. The black is pure silk, left over from the commercial textile industry. The tablerunner has lots of drape and is quite silky. The ends are machine hemmed to make a smooth and stable hem.
The tablerunner is 106cm long by 22cm wide. It can be washed by hand (separately, because that green will run) and ironed with a cool iron under a pressing cloth.
