Cotton/linen tea towel
This is a handwoven tea towel. The warp is a slubby cotton, sourced from a village cooperative in India. This fair trade group gives fair wages and a supportive work atmosphere to women in rural India. The weft is a linen yarn left over from the European commerical textile industry.
The tea towel is soft and absorbent. It is a generous 98cm by 45cm. The slubby thick-and-thin warp gives it texture and interesting variation.
