January '24 wrapup

Well it's the end of January 2024, if you can believe it. What have I achived craft-wise in the last month? Well, not much. But that's okay.

In weaving, I finished 4 of these 6 wave scarves. And by finished I mean 'finish' finished, the scarves were woven and just sitting around waiting for some fringe twisting and a soak. But things aren't finished until they're finish finished, so here they are.

For rigid heddle weaving I finished the second V cowl in this colorblock version.

I also finished knitting this Stripes and Diamonds Scarf and matching Two by Two Basic Beanie. The green yarn is 8 ply Merino in colour 'Persephone's Return' from Olive Branch Yarns, an indie yarn dyer right here in Canberra. The purple is some hand dyed Bendigo Woollen Mills yarn I picked up at the (in)famous Knitters' Guild NSW Capital Region annual destash day. This set will go to a charity, I just haven't decided which one yet.

And finally, this sweet little cowl in Merino/silk from Swish yarns. The pattern is Copilot by Dominique Trad and it certainly is a project you can just sit and knit along to, almost never referring to the pattern. Perfect TV or bus knitting.
